Overview
VISUAL EVIDENCE™ is human-centered screening visualization and operator decision-support software developed for LINEV X-ray body scanners and compatible metal detection systems. It presents screening results on a person-specific body representation, allowing operators to see where suspicious objects or detector alerts are located without relying on generic body diagrams or disconnected alarm indicators.
The software adapts to the connected screening technology. With X-ray body scanners, VISUAL EVIDENCE™ combines A-EYE™ AI-assisted detection with localized X-ray images, providing actual radiographic evidence linked to suspicious areas. With compatible metal detectors, it displays reported alarm locations on the body representation, helping operators identify areas requiring additional inspection.
Available within LINEV body screening solutions, integrated STREAMSYNC™ checkpoints and dedicated person-visualization configurations, VISUAL EVIDENCE™ makes screening information clearer, reduces routine image interpretation, supports privacy-sensitive review and helps security personnel make faster, more consistent decisions.
A Different Approach to Screening Visualization
Conventional screening interfaces typically present either a complete X-ray image requiring manual interpretation or an alarm indication that provides limited visual context. In both cases, the operator must translate the displayed information into a practical inspection decision.
VISUAL EVIDENCE™ brings the relevant findings into a human-centered visual environment. Instead of treating detection results as isolated technical signals, the software associates them with the person being screened and presents the available information in a form that supports immediate assessment and targeted action.
A defining feature of the X-ray implementation is its use of the scanned person’s individual body outline rather than a generic human pictogram. This preserves the spatial relationship between the person and the detected region while avoiding the need to display the complete anatomical X-ray image during routine review.
Visual Evidence for X-Ray Body Scanners

In LINEV X-ray body scanners, VISUAL EVIDENCE™ operates alongside A-EYE™ AI-assisted detection technology. The scanner captures X-ray data, which A-EYE analyzes to identify suspicious regions potentially associated with concealed threats or contraband. The findings are then presented through a privacy-sensitive operator interface.
Each suspicious region is positioned on the scanned person’s real-body representation and accompanied by localized X-ray evidence. Rather than receiving only an abstract alarm or a colored marker, the operator can examine the corresponding radiographic information and assess the finding in its actual body context.
This is particularly valuable when assessing small or deliberately concealed objects, including items hidden beneath clothing, carried externally or concealed internally where supported by the scanner and its operating mode. The software helps direct attention to potential findings without requiring continuous manual examination of the entire full-body image.
When additional analysis is necessary, full X-ray images remain accessible to authorized personnel in supported configurations. This combines simplified routine screening with the possibility of detailed evidentiary review.
Visual Evidence for Metal Detection

VISUAL EVIDENCE™ extends the same human-centered visualization concept to compatible metal detection systems. Instead of presenting detector alerts only through conventional indicator lights, segmented displays or separate equipment notifications, the software visualizes available alarm-location information directly on a representation of the screened person.
The operator can immediately relate the alarm to the corresponding body area and direct secondary inspection accordingly. This is especially useful at controlled entry points where security personnel need to respond quickly to detector alerts while maintaining an organized screening process.
Unlike the X-ray implementation, metal detection visualization does not provide radiographic images of concealed objects. It displays the alarm information and localization data supplied by the connected detector. The level of localization depends on the capabilities and configuration of the installed equipment.
Integrated Screening with LINEV STREAMSYNC™

In LINEV STREAMSYNC™, VISUAL EVIDENCE™ becomes part of a coordinated people-and-baggage screening environment. The platform associates a visitor with their belongings and brings relevant screening results together in a unified operator workflow.
Person-specific alarm localization can be displayed alongside associated baggage X-ray images, detector alerts, relevant video information and the status of additional checks. This helps operators understand which person or belongings require attention and maintain that relationship throughout the inspection process.
By keeping relevant screening information connected to the same event, STREAMSYNC supports coordinated alert resolution and targeted secondary inspection. VISUAL EVIDENCE provides the person-focused visualization within this broader checkpoint workflow.
Privacy-Sensitive Screening Without Losing Context
Privacy is an important consideration in personnel screening, particularly when X-ray systems can reveal anatomical details. VISUAL EVIDENCE™ addresses this through an alternative presentation of screening results: a body representation with highlighted areas of interest and localized evidence where available.
For X-ray screening, this limits routine exposure to complete anatomical images while preserving the information needed to assess a suspicious region. Unlike generic alert diagrams, the person-specific body outline retains the spatial context of the actual scan.
The result is a review process that balances operational security requirements with privacy-conscious presentation, helping facilities introduce advanced screening technology in environments where dignity, discretion and operator access to sensitive imagery are important.
From Detection to Informed Action
VISUAL EVIDENCE™ is designed to improve the stage of screening that follows detection. Rather than leaving operators to interpret complex images or disconnected alarm indicators, it presents the relevant findings in a structured visual context that supports practical decisions.
Depending on the screening system, operators can review the detected region, examine available evidence, determine whether additional inspection is necessary and proceed with clearance or escalation. This supports more targeted follow-up checks and helps reduce time spent interpreting information unrelated to the identified concern.
A more guided review process can also simplify operator training, reduce dependence on specialist image-reading experience and improve consistency across personnel and shifts. At busy checkpoints, faster interpretation of screening results can contribute to more efficient screening flow.
VISUAL EVIDENCE™ does not replace the screening equipment or the professional judgment of security personnel. Detection capabilities remain determined by the connected technology, and final clearance, secondary inspection and escalation decisions remain under operator control.
Integration & System Compatibility
VISUAL EVIDENCE™ is designed to support multiple deployment scenarios within the LINEV screening ecosystem, including X-ray body scanners, integrated STREAMSYNC checkpoints and compatible metal detection installations.
The available visualization functions, alarm localization, evidence presentation and operator workflow depend on the connected equipment, supported interfaces and software configuration. Integration with existing installations and the availability of software upgrades are evaluated for each supported system.
This flexible approach enables LINEV screening solutions to present different types of detection information through a consistent, human-centered visual concept, while preserving the capabilities and limitations of the underlying screening technologies.
