ICBR 2026 in Berlin has officially come to an end. LINEV Systems would like to thank everyone who visited Stands #16 and #22, met our team and took the time to discuss the challenges shaping modern battery recycling.
The event brought together battery recyclers, manufacturers, technology providers, industry experts and other organisations from across the international battery value chain.
Three Days of Battery Recycling Discussions
Throughout ICBR 2026, our team had the opportunity to exchange ideas with recycling professionals and discuss real projects involving battery identification, X-ray sorting, AI-based classification, preprocessing, material routing and automation.
We greatly appreciate the customers, partners and industry experts who shared their operational experience, technical questions and plans for future battery recycling projects with us.
BATTERAY Series and the Broader BATTERAY Platform
At the event, LINEV Systems presented the BATTERAY Series and the broader BATTERAY Platform.
BATTERAY Platform is a modular X-ray and AI-based preprocessing platform designed to help recyclers transform heterogeneous battery-oriented streams into controlled, traceable process routes before downstream recycling.
The discussions in Berlin demonstrated that different recycling operations face very different material streams, capacity requirements and output objectives. This is why BATTERAY Platform is built around configurable detection, classification, sorting, routing and preprocessing stages rather than a single fixed process.
Continuing a Field LINEV Systems Helped Pioneer
ICBR was another opportunity for LINEV Systems to continue the industry conversation around a field we have helped pioneer: X-ray inspection for automated battery sorting.
By analysing internal structure, BATTERAY systems can identify and classify batteries without relying solely on external appearance, markings or labels. This provides recyclers with an additional layer of information for separating mixed battery streams and preparing more controlled fractions for subsequent processing.
Today, the BATTERAY Series continues to advance this specialised field as battery streams, recycling requirements and automation objectives become increasingly complex.
Next Stop: Ecomondo
ICBR 2026 may be over, but the exhibition season continues. Our next stop is Ecomondo in Italy.
LINEV Systems is already preparing for its next meetings with the recycling community, where we will continue the discussions started in Berlin, present our technologies and explore new projects and processing challenges.
